The babies were in the crib while I was strapped with one of them on my back. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however the project was still a distance away. The project would require lots of time and money and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. To keep the budget in check, I began going to estate sales along with my three boys searching for gems hidden in the dirt. The schedule we had for the week that included spending Thursday through Saturday walking around estate and garage sales, purchasing new and old things. I spent the rest of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. The furniture looked like this... and that's where I got my passion for restoration. It didn't matter if the home was equipped. There was a place in the market that I could sell my items. Then, I ran out of numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available. More than 1000 people came to my house in one weekend, to shop for everything that was on the ground. This is where my business Growing Days was born. My business was booming, but my family was growing too. The balance was between starting a new business and being a mother. Growing Days just fit. Nora my fourth child was born in the year 2013. My business was booming however I needed a break. I decided to stop doing work on my furniture and stay home with the children. This was precisely what I was looking for at the moment. In the course of a few months, the phone began to begin to. People were calling me and seeking help for decorating their homes and interior renovations. A majority of those calling me came from people who came to my house at one of my furniture open house events. The time flew by before I was managing a full-scale business for home improvement. It began with taking clients on one with a speed I was confident in. If you'd told me that this business of mine would turn into an idea for a TV show for the DIY Network I probably would have laughed. It's funny to think back on the idea.
